1. Who we are
This website and our DJ services are provided by Kayla Tracey, trading as DJ Kayla Tracey (ABN 46 274 837 157) ("DJ Kayla Tracey", "we", "us" or "our"). We are based in Victoria, Australia. This policy applies to all personal information we collect through this website, our booking and contact forms, our online store, and our dealings with you.
2. What personal information we collect
"Personal information" means information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable. The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with us, and may include:
Booking enquiries
- your name;
- your email address and phone number;
- event details you provide — event type, preferred date, venue or suburb, duration, budget range, and any notes you add about the event.
Contact messages
- your name and email address; and
- the subject and content of your message.
Purchases from our store
- your name, contact details, and delivery details (where applicable); and
- payment information — which is collected and processed directly by our third-party payment provider (for example, Stripe). We do not collect or store your full card details.
Information collected automatically
- technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, and pages you view; and
- cookies and similar technologies (see section 8), where used.
You do not have to give us your personal information, and you may deal with us anonymously or using a pseudonym where it is lawful and practicable. However, if you do not provide certain information, we may not be able to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote, or fulfil a booking or order.
3. How we collect your personal information
We collect personal information:
- directly from you, when you complete a form, make an enquiry or booking, purchase a product, or otherwise communicate with us;
- automatically, through your use of the website (for example, via cookies and server logs); and
- occasionally from third parties, such as referrals or social media platforms where you have interacted with us.
4. Why we collect, hold, and use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiries and provide quotes;
- arrange, confirm, and deliver DJ bookings and related services;
- process payments, issue invoices, and keep financial records;
- process and fulfil store orders;
- communicate with you about your booking, order, or event;
- improve and maintain our website and services, and keep them secure;
- send you marketing or updates where you have consented or where the law otherwise permits (see section 7); and
- meet our legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
5. Who we disclose your information to
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose it to:
- service providers who help us run our business — including our website and database hosting provider (Supabase), email and website management provider (LTNA), and payment providers (such as Stripe);
- professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, where reasonably necessary;
- government or law enforcement bodies, where required or authorised by law; and
- a purchaser, in the event we sell or transfer our business.
We require our service providers to handle personal information consistently with this policy and the law.
6. Data location and overseas disclosure
Our website data and database are hosted with Supabase on servers located in Australia (Sydney region). However, some of our other service providers — in particular our payment provider (for example, Stripe) — may store or process limited personal information on servers located outside Australia, including in countries such as the United States.
Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles. By using the website and our services, you consent to this disclosure.
7. Direct marketing
We may send you marketing communications (for example, about events, offers, or news) where you have requested or consented to them, or where the law otherwise permits. Every marketing email will include an unsubscribe option, and you can opt out at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We handle marketing in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
8. Cookies and analytics
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to help it work properly, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. We may also use analytics tools to collect aggregated, non-identifying information about website usage. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, although some parts of the website may not work as intended if you do.
9. How we keep your information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. This includes restricting access to our admin area, using reputable hosting and security measures, and protecting access with authentication controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond appropriately to any data breach.
10. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law (for example, tax and financial records). When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
11. Accessing and correcting your information
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time. There is generally no charge, though we may charge a reasonable fee for access in some cases, and we may need to verify your identity first.
12. Making a complaint
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or mishandled your personal information, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can investigate and respond. We will aim to resolve your complaint promptly.

13. Children's privacy
Our website and services are intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
14. Third-party links and platforms
Our website contains links to, and embedded content from, third-party platforms such as SoundCloud and social media (Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok, and SoundCloud). This policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with your information.
